Poland stocks lower at close of trade; WIG30 down 0.20%

Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Media , Energy and Food sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 lost 0.20%.

The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Text SA (WA: TXTP ), which rose 8.62% or 4.80 points to trade at 60.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Asseco Poland SA (WA: ACPP ) added 4.53% or 3.90 points to end at 90.00 and Alior Bank SA (WA: ALRR ) was up 2.25% or 2.02 points to 91.94 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were CCC SA (WA: CCCP ), which fell 7.86% or 17.20 points to trade at 201.60 at the close. Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA: JSW ) declined 1.81% or 0.47 points to end at 25.53 and Pepco Group Nv (WA: PCOP ) was down 1.77% or 0.28 points to 15.86.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 271 to 218 and 109 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.04% or 0.03 to $68.69 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.04% or 0.03 to hit $72.33 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.02% or 0.60 to trade at $2,665.40 a troy ounce.

EUR/PLN was up 0.19% to 4.31, while USD/PLN rose 0.28% to 4.08.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 106.16.
