Netherlands stocks higher at close of trade; AEX up 0.59%

Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology , Real Estate and Financials sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX rose 0.59%.

The best performers of the session on the AEX were Aegon Ltd (AS: AEGN ), which rose 3.42% or 0.20 points to trade at 6.10 at the close. Meanwhile, ASML Holding NV (AS: ASML ) added 2.41% or 15.50 points to end at 658.40 and ASM International NV (AS: ASMI ) was up 2.24% or 11.20 points to 511.40 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Unilever PLC (AS: ULVR ), which fell 0.42% or 0.24 points to trade at 56.58 at the close. Koninklijke Philips NV (AS: PHG ) declined 0.23% or 0.06 points to end at 25.79 and Koninklijke KPN NV (AS: KPN ) was down 0.19% or 0.01 points to 3.67.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 64 to 34 and 10 ended unchanged.

The AEX Volatility , which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.

Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.01% or 0.01 to $68.73 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.47% or 0.34 to hit $72.44 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.72% or 19.14 to trade at $2,683.94 a troy ounce.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.04% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.14% to 0.83.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 106.04.
