Norway stocks lower at close of trade; Oslo OBX down 1.61%

Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Media , Transport and Diversified Financials sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 1.61%.

The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Nel ASA (OL: NEL ), which rose 1.60% or 0.05 points to trade at 3.11 at the close. Meanwhile, Telenor ASA (OL: TEL ) added 0.70% or 0.90 points to end at 129.00 and Tomra Systems ASA (OL: TOM ) was up 0.65% or 1.00 points to 155.20 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Aker BP ASA (OL: AKRBP ), which fell 3.90% or 8.90 points to trade at 219.60 at the close. Subsea 7 SA (OL: SUBC ) declined 3.73% or 6.70 points to end at 173.10 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL: NHY ) was down 3.70% or 2.58 points to 67.18.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 152 to 115 and 33 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for January delivery was down 1.48% or 1.01 to $67.29 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 1.30% or 0.94 to hit $71.15 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.42% or 11.16 to trade at $2,659.56 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was up 0.73% to 11.77, while USD/NOK rose 1.01% to 11.14.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.23% at 105.94.
