Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Basic Materials , Telecoms and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.18%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Metso Oyj (HE: METSO ), which rose 4.85% or 0.42 points to trade at 9.17 at the close. Meanwhile, Nokia Oyj (HE: NOKIA ) added 2.37% or 0.10 points to end at 4.20 and Outokumpu Oyj (HE: OUT1V ) was up 2.33% or 0.08 points to 3.33 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE: WRT1V ), which fell 2.86% or 0.51 points to trade at 17.30 at the close. Sampo Oyj A (HE: SAMPO ) declined 2.27% or 0.94 points to end at 40.48 and Nordea Bank Abp (HE: NDAFI ) was down 1.67% or 0.19 points to 10.92.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 103 to 73 and 13 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for February delivery was up 1.66% or 1.18 to $72.30 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 1.95% or 1.31 to hit $68.51 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 1.16% or 30.94 to trade at $2,690.54 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.02% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.24% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 105.66.
