Turkey stocks higher at close of trade; BIST 100 up 0.14%

Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Transport , Real Estate Investments and Wholesale & Retail Trade sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.14%.

The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Aksa Akrilik Kimya Sanayi AS (IS: AKSA ), which rose 4.05% or 0.46 points to trade at 11.81 at the close. Meanwhile, Turkiye Halk Bankasi (IS: HALKB ) added 3.30% or 0.54 points to end at 16.91 and Bera Holding AS (IS: BERA ) was up 2.82% or 0.44 points to 16.06 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Enerya Enerji AS (IS: ENERY ), which fell 6.45% or 18.75 points to trade at 272.00 at the close. Fenerbahce Futbol AS (IS: FENER ) declined 5.19% or 2.36 points to end at 43.08 and Tofas Turk Otomobil Fabrikasi AS (IS: TOASO ) was down 2.70% or 5.40 points to 194.40.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 357 to 209 and 14 ended unchanged.

Shares in Fenerbahce Futbol AS (IS: FENER ) fell to 52-week lows; down 5.19% or 2.36 to 43.08.

Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.54% or 14.44 to $2,655.56 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 2.33% or 1.65 to hit $69.06 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract fell 1.68% or 1.24 to trade at $72.67 a barrel.

USD/TRY was up 0.11% to 34.99, while EUR/TRY rose 0.25% to 36.79.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 106.60.
