Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 3.74%

Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Oil & Gas , Healthcare and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 3.74%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE: NOVOb ), which rose 5.67% or 33.40 points to trade at 622.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE: VWS ) added 4.53% or 4.30 points to end at 98.70 and AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CSE: MAERSKa ) was up 3.62% or 400.00 points to 11,450.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Zealand Pharma A/S (CSE: ZELA ), which fell 1.10% or 8.00 points to trade at 720.00 at the close. Demant A/S (CSE: DEMANT ) declined 0.61% or 1.60 points to end at 261.80 and Coloplast A/S (CSE: COLOb ) was down 0.50% or 4.00 points to 793.20.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 97 to 47 and 11 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for February delivery was down 1.02% or 0.71 to $68.75 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 1.03% or 0.75 to hit $71.81 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.62% or 16.31 to trade at $2,628.79 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.24% to 7.17, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.01% to 7.46.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.51% at 107.90.
