Denmark stocks lower at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 down 1.88%

Investing.com – Denmark stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Healthcare , Oil & Gas and Chemicals sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 lost 1.88%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Demant A/S (CSE: DEMANT ), which rose 2.74% or 7.20 points to trade at 269.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Ambu A/S (CSE: AMBUb ) added 2.38% or 2.50 points to end at 107.70 and Genmab (CSE: GMAB ) was up 1.29% or 20.00 points to 1,569.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE: NOVOb ), which fell 3.01% or 19.20 points to trade at 618.30 at the close. Oersted AS (CSE: ORSTED ) declined 1.98% or 6.90 points to end at 341.60 and Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE: VWS ) was down 1.60% or 1.70 points to 104.60.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 63 to 62 and 22 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.20% or 0.15 to $74.11 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.24% or 0.18 to hit $76.69 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.19% or 5.04 to trade at $2,649.66 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 0.84% to 7.17, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.03% to 7.46.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.72% at 108.01.
