The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were STMicroelectronics (BIT: STMMI ), which rose 7.90% or 1.86 points to trade at 25.34 at the close. Meanwhile, Amplifon (BIT: AMPF ) added 5.54% or 1.35 points to end at 25.71 and Moncler SpA (BIT: MONC ) was up 4.16% or 2.05 points to 51.36 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ERG (BIT: ERG ), which fell 0.89% or 0.18 points to trade at 20.16 at the close. A2A SpA (BIT: A2 ) declined 0.83% or 0.02 points to end at 2.16 and Hera (BIT: HRA ) was down 0.82% or 0.03 points to 3.41.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 342 to 178 and 41 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.19% or 0.14 to $74.10 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.21% or 0.16 to hit $76.67 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.12% or 3.29 to trade at $2,651.41 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.80% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.01% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.64% at 108.10.
