Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Real Estate , Technology and Banking sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 declined 0.74%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE: ESLT ), which rose 2.84% or 2,760.00 points to trade at 100,000.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE: TEVA ) added 0.56% or 44.00 points to end at 7,917.00 and Ormat Technologies (TASE: ORA ) was up 0.40% or 100.00 points to 25,160.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Electra Ltd (TASE: ELTR ), which fell 3.00% or 6,150.00 points to trade at 198,850.00 at the close. Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE: SPEN ) declined 2.69% or 73.00 points to end at 2,645.00 and Ashtrom Group Ltd (TASE: ASHG ) was down 2.57% or 157.00 points to 5,943.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 357 to 114 and 65 ended unchanged.
Shares in Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE: ESLT ) rose to all time highs; rising 2.84% or 2,760.00 to 100,000.00.
Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.12% or 0.09 to $74.16 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.23% or 0.18 to hit $76.87 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.58% or 15.41 to trade at $2,680.81 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.58% to 3.67, while EUR/ILS rose 0.16% to 3.78.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.56% at 108.99.
