Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Biomed , Oil & Gas and Technology sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 0.42%.

The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE: ESLT ), which rose 4.21% or 4,210.00 points to trade at 104,210.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Newmed Energy LP (TASE: NWMDp ) added 3.75% or 44.00 points to end at 1,217.00 and Ashtrom Group Ltd (TASE: ASHG ) was up 1.97% or 117.00 points to 6,060.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Sapiens International Corporation NV (TASE: SPNS ), which fell 1.22% or 115.00 points to trade at 9,313.00 at the close. Energean Oil & Gas PLC (TASE: ENOG ) declined 1.09% or 52.00 points to end at 4,728.00 and NICE Ltd (TASE: NICE ) was down 1.05% or 640.00 points to 60,460.00.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 248 to 220 and 68 ended unchanged.

Shares in Sapiens International Corporation NV (TASE: SPNS ) fell to 52-week lows; losing 1.22% or 115.00 to 9,313.00. Shares in Newmed Energy LP (TASE: NWMDp ) rose to 5-year highs; rising 3.75% or 44.00 to 1,217.00.

Crude oil for February delivery was up 1.02% or 0.75 to $74.07 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 1.02% or 0.78 to hit $76.94 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.63% or 16.76 to trade at $2,689.16 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS was up 0.15% to 3.66, while EUR/ILS unchanged 0.04% to 3.77.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 109.01.
