Finland stocks lower at close of trade; OMX Helsinki 25 down 0.08%

Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil & Gas , Telecoms and Utilities sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.08%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Orion Oyj B (HE: ORNBV ), which rose 7.20% or 3.30 points to trade at 49.12 at the close. Meanwhile, Qt Group Oyj (HE: QTCOM ) added 2.23% or 1.65 points to end at 75.60 and Elisa Oyj (HE: ELISA ) was up 1.71% or 0.72 points to 42.72 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Neste Oyj (HE: NESTE ), which fell 3.94% or 0.52 points to trade at 12.55 at the close. Nokia Oyj (HE: NOKIA ) declined 3.24% or 0.15 points to end at 4.35 and Outokumpu Oyj (HE: OUT1V ) was down 2.64% or 0.08 points to 2.92.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 90 to 83 and 15 ended unchanged.

Brent oil for March delivery was down 1.32% or 1.08 to $80.95 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 1.45% or 1.14 to hit $77.57 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 1.28% or 34.91 to trade at $2,752.71 a troy ounce.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.10% to 1.03, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.08% to 0.84.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 108.81.
