Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as in the sectors led shares .

The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were DiaSorin SpA (BIT: DIAS ), which rose 2.90% or 2.95 points to trade at 104.85 at the close. Meanwhile, Snam SpA (BIT: SRG ) added 1.96% or 0.08 points to end at 4.32 and Italgas SpA (BIT: IG ) was up 1.81% or 0.10 points to 5.63 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Stellantis NV (BIT: STLAM ), which fell 1.53% or 0.20 points to trade at 12.65 at the close. Eni SpA (BIT: ENI ) declined 1.19% or 0.17 points to end at 13.73 and Telecom Italia (BIT: TLIT ) was 1.15% or 0.00 points to 0.26.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 262 to 249 and 47 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for March delivery was down 1.72% or 1.33 to $76.06 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 1.00% or 0.80 to hit $79.35 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.40% or 11.11 to trade at $2,759.81 a troy ounce.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.13% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.85.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 1.29% at 107.79.
