Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 2.51%

Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Consumer Goods , Healthcare and Personal & Household Goods sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 2.51%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Zealand Pharma A/S (CSE: ZELA ), which rose 4.95% or 34.50 points to trade at 731.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE: NOVOb ) added 4.04% or 22.30 points to end at 573.60 and DSV Panalpina A/S (CSE: DSV ) was up 2.25% or 32.50 points to 1,477.50 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Oersted AS (CSE: ORSTED ), which fell 10.73% or 33.50 points to trade at 278.70 at the close. Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE: VWS ) declined 2.30% or 2.20 points to end at 95.20 and Ambu A/S (CSE: AMBUb ) was down 2.24% or 3.10 points to 135.30.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 85 to 47 and 20 ended unchanged.

Shares in Oersted AS (CSE: ORSTED ) fell to 52-week lows; down 10.73% or 33.50 to 278.70.

Crude oil for March delivery was down 1.54% or 1.19 to $76.20 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.80% or 0.64 to hit $79.51 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.29% or 8.10 to trade at $2,756.80 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was unchanged 0.01% to 7.16, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.03% to 7.46.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 1.21% at 107.88.
