Colombia stocks lower at close of trade; COLCAP down 0.74%

Investing.com – Colombia stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Financials , Investment and Public Services sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP lost 0.74%.

The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Organizacion Terpel SA (BVC: TPL ), which rose 4.13% or 500.00 points to trade at 12,620.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (BVC: BVC ) added 1.60% or 160.00 points to end at 10,140.00 and Corporacion Financiera Colombiana SA (BVC: CFV ) was up 1.40% or 220.00 points to 15,900.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Etb (BVC: ETB ), which fell 8.11% or 6.00 points to trade at 68.00 at the close. Cementos Argos SA (BVC: CCB ) declined 1.96% or 200.00 points to end at 10,000.00 and Canacol Energy Ltd (BVC: CNE ) was down 1.83% or 200.00 points to 10,700.00.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 1 to 0.

Shares in Organizacion Terpel SA (BVC: TPL ) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 4.13% or 500.00 to 12,620.00. Shares in Etb (BVC: ETB ) fell to all time lows; losing 8.11% or 6.00 to 68.00.

US coffee C for March delivery was up 4.56% or 14.95 to $342.75 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in March rose 1.06% or 123.00 to hit $11,682.00 , while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.23% or 6.27 to trade at $2,765.47 a troy ounce.

USD/COP was down 1.26% to 4,256.25, while BRL/COP rose 0.16% to 716.60.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 108.05.
