Greece stocks lower at close of trade; Athens General Composite down 0.07%

Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms , Household and Basic Resources sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite fell 0.07%.

The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Gr Sarantis SA (AT: SRSr ), which rose 5.66% or 0.62 points to trade at 11.58 at the close. Meanwhile, Lavipharm SA (AT: LPHr ) added 5.14% or 0.04 points to end at 0.84 and Aktor Symmetochon Technikon kai Energoiakon Ergon AE (AT: INCr ) was up 4.38% or 0.21 points to 5.01 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Ekter (AT: EKTr ), which fell 5.38% or 0.10 points to trade at 1.76 at the close. Thessaloniki Port Authority SA (AT: OLTr ) declined 3.17% or 0.90 points to end at 27.50 and Aegean Airlines (AT: AGNr ) was down 2.64% or 0.29 points to 10.70.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 61 to 56 and 23 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.65% or 18.01 to $2,752.89 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 0.27% or 0.20 to hit $75.64 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 0.33% or 0.26 to trade at $79.26 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.16% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.17% to 0.84.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.19% at 108.17.
