Norway stocks higher at close of trade; Oslo OBX up 0.15%

Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services , Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.15%.

The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Hafnia Ltd (OL: HAFNI ), which rose 2.65% or 1.50 points to trade at 58.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Gjensidige Forsikring ASA (OL: GJFG ) added 1.76% or 4.00 points to end at 231.80 and Telenor ASA (OL: TEL ) was up 1.73% or 2.30 points to 135.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Nordic Semiconductor ASA (OL: NOD ), which fell 4.53% or 5.35 points to trade at 112.65 at the close. Var Energi ASA (OL: VAR ) declined 3.43% or 1.25 points to end at 35.20 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL: NHY ) was down 2.16% or 1.44 points to 65.26.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 159 to 127 and 26 ended unchanged.

Shares in Gjensidige Forsikring ASA (OL: GJFG ) rose to all time highs; rising 1.76% or 4.00 to 231.80.

Crude oil for March delivery was down 1.51% or 1.13 to $73.53 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 1.35% or 1.05 to hit $76.50 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 1.18% or 33.24 to trade at $2,773.36 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was up 0.62% to 11.80, while USD/NOK rose 0.56% to 11.24.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 107.12.
