Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas , Chemicals and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 1.94%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Rockwool International B (CSE: ROCKb ), which rose 11.23% or 306.00 points to trade at 3,030.00 at the close. Meanwhile, NKT Holding (CSE: NKT ) added 7.66% or 35.00 points to end at 492.20 and Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE: VWS ) was up 6.57% or 6.40 points to 103.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE: MAERSKb ), which fell 2.21% or 275.00 points to trade at 12,165.00 at the close. Zealand Pharma A/S (CSE: ZELA ) declined 2.03% or 11.50 points to end at 555.00 and Carlsberg A/S B (CSE: CARLb ) was down 1.69% or 15.40 points to 897.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 94 to 44 and 18 ended unchanged.
Shares in Zealand Pharma A/S (CSE: ZELA ) fell to 52-week lows; falling 2.03% or 11.50 to 555.00.
Crude oil for April delivery was down 4.34% or 2.96 to $65.30 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 3.69% or 2.62 to hit $68.42 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.58% or 16.89 to trade at $2,937.49 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 1.27% to 6.93, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.03% to 7.46.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 1.14% at 104.48.
