Israel stocks higher at close of trade; TA 35 up 1.14%

Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Biomed , Technology and Banking sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 1.14%.

The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE: ICL ), which rose 3.51% or 73.00 points to trade at 2,152.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE: TEVA ) added 2.99% or 169.00 points to end at 5,816.00 and Sapiens International Corporation NV (TASE: SPNS ) was up 2.83% or 277.00 points to 10,050.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Newmed Energy LP (TASE: NWMDp ), which fell 1.90% or 26.00 points to trade at 1,344.00 at the close. Big Shopping Centers Ltd (TASE: BIG ) declined 1.56% or 820.00 points to end at 51,890.00 and Enlight Renewable Energy Ltd (TASE: ENLT ) was down 1.43% or 87.00 points to 6,011.00.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 274 to 181 and 82 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for April delivery was down 3.57% or 2.44 to $65.82 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 3.00% or 2.13 to hit $68.91 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.20% or 5.91 to trade at $2,926.51 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS was down 0.27% to 3.62, while EUR/ILS rose 0.96% to 3.89.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 1.08% at 104.55.
