Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Basic Metals , Leasing & Factoring and Holdings & Investments sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 2.94% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Mia Teknoloji AS (IS: MIATK ), which rose 10.00% or 3.28 points to trade at 36.08 at the close. Meanwhile, Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS Class D (IS: KRDMD ) added 8.96% or 2.52 points to end at 30.66 and Celebi Hava Servisi AS (IS: CLEBI ) was up 8.91% or 184.00 points to 2,249.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Alfa Solar Enerji AS (IS: ALFAS ), which fell 9.95% or 5.95 points to trade at 53.85 at the close. Isiklar Enerji ve Yapi Holding AS (IS: IEYHO ) declined 3.84% or 0.40 points to end at 10.03 and Margun Enerji Uretim Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS: MAGEN ) was down 2.49% or 0.62 points to 24.28.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 432 to 144 and 16 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.34% or 9.91 to $2,930.51 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 3.22% or 2.20 to hit $66.06 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 2.63% or 1.87 to trade at $69.17 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.02% to 36.45, while EUR/TRY rose 1.30% to 39.22.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 1.09% at 104.54.
