Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Leasing & Factoring , Non-Metal Mineral Products and Metal Products & Machinery sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.46% to hit a new 6-months high.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Margun Enerji Uretim Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS: MAGEN ), which rose 9.59% or 2.38 points to trade at 27.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Europower Enerji ve Otomasyon Teknolojileri Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS: EUPWR ) added 8.39% or 2.94 points to end at 38.00 and Girisim Elektrik Taahhut Ticaret & Sanayi AS (IS: GESAN ) was up 6.84% or 3.45 points to 53.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fenerbahce Futbol AS (IS: FENER ), which fell 9.97% or 5.85 points to trade at 52.85 at the close. Aselsan Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS: ASELS ) declined 3.57% or 4.00 points to end at 108.20 and Migros Ticaret AS (IS: MGROS ) was down 3.38% or 19.50 points to 557.50.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 443 to 137 and 12 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.14% or 4.11 to $2,930.71 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 2.58% or 1.71 to hit $68.07 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 2.59% or 1.80 to trade at $71.26 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.17% to 36.45, while EUR/TRY rose 0.82% to 39.56.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.30% at 103.72.
