Spain stocks higher at close of trade; IBEX 35 up 0.15%

Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic , Telecoms & IT and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 added 0.15%.

The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Enagas (BME: ENAG ), which rose 2.99% or 0.37 points to trade at 12.74 at the close. Meanwhile, Aena SME SA (BME: AENA ) added 2.17% or 4.60 points to end at 216.60 and Endesa SA (BME: ELE ) was up 2.10% or 0.44 points to 21.40 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were ArcelorMittal SA (BME: MTS ), which fell 5.16% or 1.66 points to trade at 30.49 at the close. Indra A (BME: IDR ) declined 3.93% or 1.02 points to end at 24.94 and Grifols SA (BME: GRLS ) was down 2.53% or 0.27 points to 10.39.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 104 to 89 and 33 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.14% or 4.01 to $2,922.59 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 1.24% or 0.82 to hit $67.18 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 1.38% or 0.96 to trade at $70.42 a barrel.

EUR/USD was up 0.61% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.38% to 0.84.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.33% at 103.68.
