Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the , Electronic Parts/Components and Biotech & Medical Care sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted lost 0.61% to hit a new 1-month low.

The best performers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Answer Technology Co Ltd (TW: 3528 ), which rose 10.00% or 5.60 points to trade at 61.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Transcend Information Inc (TW: 2451 ) added 9.90% or 8.70 points to end at 96.60 and AV Tech Corp (TW: 8072 ) was up 9.88% or 2.50 points to 27.80 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Cyberlink Co (TW: 5203 ), which fell 10.00% or 13.00 points to trade at 117.00 at the close. Huang Hsiang Construction Corp (TW: 2545 ) declined 9.58% or 7.10 points to end at 67.00 and Bonny Worldwide Ltd (TW: 8467 ) was down 9.29% or 25.00 points to 244.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Shares in Answer Technology Co Ltd (TW: 3528 ) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 10.00% or 5.60 to 61.60.

Crude oil for April delivery was down 0.67% or 0.45 to $66.59 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.60% or 0.42 to hit $69.94 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.12% or 3.59 to trade at $2,917.69 a troy ounce.

USD/TWD was up 0.14% to 32.87, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.05% to 0.22.

The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 103.81.
