Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Industrials , Consumer Goods & Services and Consumer Staples sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC declined 0.42% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Megacable Holdings, S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV: MEGACPO ), which rose 1.95% or 0.81 points to trade at 42.32 at the close. Meanwhile, Kimberly - Clark De Mexico A (BMV: KIMBERA ) added 1.49% or 0.47 points to end at 32.11 and Grupo Aeroportuario Del CentroNorte (BMV: OMAB ) was up 1.34% or 2.46 points to 185.89 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grupo Bimbo, S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV: BIMBOA ), which fell 4.00% or 2.27 points to trade at 54.50 at the close. Grupo Comercial Chedraui, SAB De CV (BMV: CHDRAUIB ) declined 3.23% or 3.73 points to end at 111.69 and Orbia Advance Corporation SAB de CV (BMV: ORBIA ) was down 2.58% or 0.40 points to 15.08.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 151 to 101 and 12 ended unchanged.
Shares in Grupo Comercial Chedraui, SAB De CV (BMV: CHDRAUIB ) fell to 52-week lows; falling 3.23% or 3.73 to 111.69.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.81% or 23.40 to $2,922.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 0.89% or 0.59 to hit $66.62 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 0.10% or 0.07 to trade at $69.94 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.05% to 20.27, while EUR/MXN unchanged 0.00% to 22.12.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.58% at 103.36.
