Investing.com – Brazil stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Industrials , Real Estate and Consumption sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa fell 0.81%.
The best performers of the session on the Bovespa were Automob Participações SA (BVMF: AMOB3 ), which rose 4.00% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.26 at the close. Meanwhile, LWSA SA (BVMF: LWSA3 ) added 3.79% or 0.10 points to end at 2.74 and Vivara Participacoes SA (BVMF: VIVA3 ) was up 3.16% or 0.56 points to 18.28 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Marcopolo SA (BVMF: POMO4 ), which fell 4.46% or 0.31 points to trade at 6.64 at the close. Auren Energia SA (BVMF: AURE3 ) declined 3.35% or 0.26 points to end at 7.50 and Companhia Brasileira De Distribuica (BVMF: PCAR3 ) was down 3.25% or 0.08 points to 2.38.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 561 to 381 and 57 ended unchanged.
Shares in Auren Energia SA (BVMF: AURE3 ) fell to all time lows; falling 3.35% or 0.26 to 7.50.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility , which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was down 0.33% to 30.22.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.81% or 23.40 to $2,922.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 0.89% or 0.59 to hit $66.62 a barrel, while the May US coffee C contract rose 2.43% or 9.35 to trade at $393.35 .
USD/BRL was unchanged 0.00% to 5.81, while EUR/BRL unchanged 0.06% to 6.34.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.58% at 103.36.
