Investing.com – Spain stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Consumer Goods , Consumer Services and Telecoms & IT sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 declined 1.69%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Endesa SA (BME: ELE ), which rose 1.16% or 0.25 points to trade at 21.85 at the close. Meanwhile, Indra A (BME: IDR ) added 0.88% or 0.22 points to end at 25.16 and Corporacion Acciona Energias Renovables SA (BME: ANE ) was up 0.57% or 0.10 points to 17.55 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (BME: ICAG ), which fell 7.02% or 0.26 points to trade at 3.43 at the close. Grifols SA (BME: GRLS ) declined 6.29% or 0.63 points to end at 9.43 and Amadeus IT (BME: AMA ) was down 5.50% or 4.04 points to 69.36.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 143 to 49 and 19 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.87% or 25.31 to $2,924.71 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 0.39% or 0.26 to hit $66.29 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 0.52% or 0.36 to trade at $69.64 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.87% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.43% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.63% at 103.30.
