Portugal stocks lower at close of trade; PSI down 0.01%

Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financials , Consumer Services and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Lisbon, the PSI lost 0.01%.

The best performers of the session on the PSI were EDP Renovaveis (ELI: EDPR ), which rose 3.71% or 0.31 points to trade at 8.66 at the close. Meanwhile, CTT Correios de Portugal SA (ELI: CTT ) added 1.76% or 0.12 points to end at 6.94 and EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI: EDP ) was up 1.34% or 0.04 points to 3.17 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Sonae SGPS SA (ELI: YSO ), which fell 1.95% or 0.02 points to trade at 1.01 at the close. Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI: BCP ) declined 1.66% or 0.01 points to end at 0.52 and Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI: MOTA ) was down 1.60% or 0.05 points to 3.07.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 13 to 11 and 5 ended unchanged.

Brent oil for May delivery was up 0.49% or 0.34 to $69.62 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 0.38% or 0.25 to hit $66.28 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.84% or 24.31 to trade at $2,923.71 a troy ounce.

EUR/USD was up 0.86% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.44% to 0.84.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.63% at 103.30.
