Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Consumer Services , Industrials and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX fell 1.42% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were BE Semiconductor Industries NV (AS: BESI ), which rose 1.24% or 1.20 points to trade at 97.68 at the close. Meanwhile, ASM International NV (AS: ASMI ) added 0.78% or 3.30 points to end at 426.30 and Randstad NV (AS: RAND ) was up 0.52% or 0.22 points to 42.36 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Unilever PLC (AS: ULVR ), which fell 3.03% or 1.70 points to trade at 54.34 at the close. Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize NV (AS: AD ) declined 2.48% or 0.86 points to end at 33.86 and Adyen NV (AS: ADYEN ) was down 2.45% or 37.80 points to 1,505.60.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 69 to 32 and 6 ended unchanged.
The AEX Volatility , which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for April delivery was up 0.35% or 0.23 to $66.26 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.48% or 0.33 to hit $69.61 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.82% or 23.91 to trade at $2,923.31 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.86% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.44% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.62% at 103.31.
