Poland stocks lower at close of trade; WIG30 down 0.24%

Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Media , Chemicals and Information Technology sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 fell 0.24%.

The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA: JSW ), which rose 2.10% or 0.49 points to trade at 23.87 at the close. Meanwhile, BUDIMEX SA (WA: BDXP ) added 1.03% or 6.00 points to end at 591.00 and 11BIT (WA: 11B ) was up 0.75% or 1.50 points to 201.50 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Grupa Azoty SA (WA: ATTP ), which fell 1.71% or 0.38 points to trade at 21.90 at the close. Text SA (WA: TXTP ) declined 1.53% or 0.75 points to end at 48.35 and Powszechny Zaklad Ubezpieczen SA (WA: PZU ) was down 1.52% or 0.82 points to 53.08.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 331 to 196 and 104 ended unchanged.

Shares in Text SA (WA: TXTP ) fell to 3-years lows; falling 1.53% or 0.75 to 48.35.

Crude oil for April delivery was up 0.88% or 0.58 to $66.61 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.92% or 0.64 to hit $69.92 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.77% or 22.30 to trade at $2,921.70 a troy ounce.

EUR/PLN was up 0.17% to 4.20, while USD/PLN fell 0.68% to 3.85.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.59% at 103.34.
