Morocco stocks higher at close of trade; Moroccan All Shares up 1.20%

Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Holding Companies , Forestry & Paper and Software & Computer Services sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares rose 1.20%.

The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Fenie Brossette (CSE: FBR ), which rose 9.98% or 22.95 points to trade at 252.95 at the close. Meanwhile, Marocaine Ste de Therapeutique SA (CSE: SOT ) added 5.89% or 61.00 points to end at 1,096.00 and SMI (CSE: SMI ) was up 3.96% or 89.00 points to 2,339.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Atlanta (CSE: ATL ), which fell 2.78% or 4.00 points to trade at 140.00 at the close. Taqa Morocco SA (CSE: TQM ) declined 2.77% or 47.00 points to end at 1,651.00 and CTM (CSE: CTM ) was down 2.53% or 28.00 points to 1,078.00.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 34 to 18 and 5 ended unchanged.

Shares in Fenie Brossette (CSE: FBR ) rose to 5-year highs; rising 9.98% or 22.95 to 252.95.

Crude oil for April delivery was down 1.05% or 0.71 to $66.97 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.89% or 0.63 to hit $70.32 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 1.50% or 44.24 to trade at $2,991.04 a troy ounce.

EUR/MAD was down 0.26% to 10.53, while USD/MAD rose 0.06% to 9.70.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.19% at 103.78.
