Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Telecoms & IT , Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic and Building & Construction sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 gained 0.08%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Telefonica (BME: TEF ), which rose 2.74% or 0.12 points to trade at 4.34 at the close. Meanwhile, Acerinox (BME: ACX ) added 1.83% or 0.20 points to end at 11.13 and Enagas (BME: ENAG ) was up 1.41% or 0.18 points to 12.93 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fluidra (BME: FLUI ), which fell 1.43% or 0.32 points to trade at 22.00 at the close. Puig Brands SA (BME: PUIGb ) declined 1.33% or 0.24 points to end at 17.45 and Banco de Sabadell SA (BME: SABE ) was down 1.16% or 0.03 points to 2.65.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 104 to 84 and 21 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 1.50% or 44.34 to $2,991.14 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 1.42% or 0.96 to hit $66.72 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 1.30% or 0.92 to trade at $70.03 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.19% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.10% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 103.73.
