Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Financials , Industrials and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI fell 0.61%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Nos SGPS SA (ELI: NOS ), which rose 0.81% or 0.04 points to trade at 4.38 at the close. Meanwhile, Ren Redes Energeticas Nacionais SGPS SA (ELI: RENE ) added 0.56% or 0.02 points to end at 2.69 and EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI: EDP ) was up 0.45% or 0.01 points to 3.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI: MOTA ), which fell 3.19% or 0.10 points to trade at 3.10 at the close. Ibersol SGPS (ELI: IBS ) declined 1.99% or 0.18 points to end at 8.86 and Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI: BCP ) was down 1.92% or 0.01 points to 0.53.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 14 to 11 and 4 ended unchanged.
Shares in Ren Redes Energeticas Nacionais SGPS SA (ELI: RENE ) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 0.56% or 0.02 to 2.69.
Brent oil for May delivery was down 1.30% or 0.92 to $70.03 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 1.43% or 0.97 to hit $66.71 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 1.49% or 43.99 to trade at $2,990.79 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.19% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.08% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 103.74.
