Colombia stocks higher at close of trade; COLCAP up 1.77%

Investing.com – Colombia stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Industrials , Services and Agriculture sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 1.77%.

The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Cementos Argos SA (BVC: CCB ), which rose 1.98% or 190.00 points to trade at 9,790.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Promigas (BVC: PMG ) added 1.90% or 130.00 points to end at 6,980.00 and Bancolombia SA (BVC: BIC ) was up 1.65% or 760.00 points to 46,760.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA Preferred (BVC: SIS_p ), which fell 3.38% or 1,320.00 points to trade at 37,680.00 at the close. Corporacion Financiera Colombiana SA (BVC: CFV ) declined 2.74% or 480.00 points to end at 17,020.00 and Cementos Argos Pf (BVC: CCB_p ) was down 2.70% or 270.00 points to 9,730.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

US coffee C for May delivery was down 2.20% or 8.50 to $377.20 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in May fell 3.48% or 284.00 to hit $7,888.00 , while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.08% or 2.30 to trade at $2,993.60 a troy ounce.

USD/COP was down 0.80% to 4,097.10, while BRL/COP rose 0.19% to 713.40.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 103.72.
