Spain stocks higher at close of trade; IBEX 35 up 1.29%

Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Financial Services & Real Estate , Consumer Services and Telecoms & IT sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 rose 1.29%.

The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Indra A (BME: IDR ), which rose 3.52% or 0.88 points to trade at 25.88 at the close. Meanwhile, ArcelorMittal SA (BME: MTS ) added 3.50% or 1.00 points to end at 29.60 and Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria SA (BME: BBVA ) was up 3.21% or 0.41 points to 13.18 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Enagas (BME: ENAG ), which fell 1.31% or 0.17 points to trade at 12.76 at the close. SOLARIA ENERGIA Y MEDIO AMBIENTE (BME: SLRS ) declined 0.74% or 0.06 points to end at 7.34 and Fluidra (BME: FLUI ) was down 0.73% or 0.16 points to 21.90.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 124 to 64 and 22 ended unchanged.

Shares in SOLARIA ENERGIA Y MEDIO AMBIENTE (BME: SLRS ) fell to 3-years lows; losing 0.74% or 0.06 to 7.34. Shares in Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria SA (BME: BBVA ) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 3.21% or 0.41 to 13.18.

Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.26% or 7.79 to $2,999.09 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 1.11% or 0.74 to hit $67.29 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 1.09% or 0.76 to trade at $70.64 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.28% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.41% to 0.84.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 103.68.
