Italy stocks higher at close of trade; Investing.com Italy 40 up 1.69%

Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Industrials , Telecoms and Technology sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 added 1.69%.

The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Iveco Group NV (BIT: IVG ), which rose 7.18% or 1.09 points to trade at 16.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Leonardo SpA (BIT: LDOF ) added 7.13% or 3.14 points to end at 47.20 and Buzzi Unicem (BIT: BZU ) was up 7.00% or 3.50 points to 53.50 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were DiaSorin SpA (BIT: DIAS ), which fell 2.67% or 2.62 points to trade at 95.44 at the close. Snam SpA (BIT: SRG ) declined 1.39% or 0.06 points to end at 4.53 and Nexi SpA (BIT: NEXII ) was down 1.07% or 0.06 points to 5.17.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 362 to 192 and 38 ended unchanged.

Shares in Iveco Group NV (BIT: IVG ) rose to all time highs; rising 7.18% or 1.09 to 16.20. Shares in Leonardo SpA (BIT: LDOF ) rose to all time highs; gaining 7.13% or 3.14 to 47.20. Shares in Buzzi Unicem (BIT: BZU ) rose to all time highs; gaining 7.00% or 3.50 to 53.50.

Crude oil for April delivery was up 1.11% or 0.74 to $67.29 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 1.04% or 0.73 to hit $70.61 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.29% or 8.60 to trade at $2,999.90 a troy ounce.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.27% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.42% to 0.84.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.13% at 103.70.
