Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Banking , Energy and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 added 2.55% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Powszechna Kasa Oszczednosci Bank Polski SA (WA: PKO ), which rose 5.54% or 4.10 points to trade at 78.12 at the close. Meanwhile, Tauron Polska Energia SA (WA: TPE ) added 5.49% or 0.25 points to end at 4.80 and Bank Polska Kasa Opieki SA (WA: PEO ) was up 4.37% or 7.70 points to 184.05 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Allegro (WA: ALEP ), which fell 1.11% or 0.36 points to trade at 32.02 at the close. 11BIT (WA: 11B ) declined 0.71% or 1.50 points to end at 211.00 and Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA: JSW ) was down 0.25% or 0.07 points to 27.48.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 311 to 207 and 120 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for April delivery was up 0.80% or 0.53 to $67.08 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.77% or 0.54 to hit $70.42 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.24% or 7.29 to trade at $2,998.59 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was unchanged 0.04% to 4.18, while USD/PLN fell 0.24% to 3.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.13% at 103.69.
