Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 1.17%

Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil & Gas , Consumer Goods and Chemicals sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 1.17%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were NKT Holding (CSE: NKT ), which rose 5.59% or 27.50 points to trade at 519.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Rockwool International B (CSE: ROCKb ) added 3.46% or 106.00 points to end at 3,172.00 and Genmab (CSE: GMAB ) was up 3.44% or 47.00 points to 1,414.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Zealand Pharma A/S (CSE: ZELA ), which fell 2.74% or 16.50 points to trade at 585.50 at the close. AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE: MAERSKb ) declined 1.47% or 180.00 points to end at 12,025.00 and AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CSE: MAERSKa ) was down 1.32% or 160.00 points to 11,960.00.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 90 to 45 and 12 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for April delivery was up 0.81% or 0.54 to $67.09 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.76% or 0.53 to hit $70.41 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.21% or 6.31 to trade at $2,997.61 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 0.25% to 6.86, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.03% to 7.46.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 103.70.
