Turkey stocks higher at close of trade; BIST 100 up 1.05%

Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Food & Beverages , Non-Metal Mineral Products and Leasing & Factoring sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 1.05% to hit a new 6-months high.

The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Tekfen Holding AS (IS: TKFEN ), which rose 10.00% or 8.80 points to trade at 96.80 at the close. Meanwhile, LDR Turizm AS (IS: LIDER ) added 6.66% or 11.70 points to end at 187.30 and Coca-Cola Icecek AS (IS: CCOLA ) was up 6.65% or 3.60 points to 57.70 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Altinay Savunma Teknolojileri AS (IS: ALTNY ), which fell 2.38% or 2.10 points to trade at 86.00 at the close. Enerya Enerji AS (IS: ENERY ) declined 1.57% or 0.06 points to end at 3.76 and Cvk Maden Isletmeleri Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS: CVKMD ) was down 1.35% or 0.15 points to 10.97.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 406 to 159 and 27 ended unchanged.

Shares in Tekfen Holding AS (IS: TKFEN ) rose to all time highs; gaining 10.00% or 8.80 to 96.80. Shares in LDR Turizm AS (IS: LIDER ) rose to all time highs; rising 6.66% or 11.70 to 187.30.

Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.02% or 0.51 to $2,991.81 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 0.53% or 0.35 to hit $66.90 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 0.44% or 0.31 to trade at $70.19 a barrel.

USD/TRY was up 0.72% to 36.68, while EUR/TRY rose 0.97% to 39.90.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 103.78.
