Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Insurance , Real Estate and Forestry & Paper sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares added 1.47% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Ste Nationale de Siderurgie SA (CSE: SID ), which rose 7.97% or 147.00 points to trade at 1,991.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Maghreb Oxygene (CSE: MOX ) added 7.38% or 31.75 points to end at 461.75 and Disty Technologies SA (CSE: DYT ) was up 6.50% or 20.00 points to 327.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Salafin (CSE: SLF ), which fell 3.32% or 19.30 points to trade at 562.20 at the close. Ennakl Automobiles (CSE: NKL ) declined 2.47% or 0.86 points to end at 34.00 and Atlanta (CSE: ATL ) was down 2.08% or 3.00 points to 141.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 38 to 18 and 6 ended unchanged.
Shares in Ste Nationale de Siderurgie SA (CSE: SID ) rose to 5-year highs; rising 7.97% or 147.00 to 1,991.00. Shares in Disty Technologies SA (CSE: DYT ) rose to all time highs; up 6.50% or 20.00 to 327.80.
Crude oil for May delivery was up 0.24% or 0.16 to $68.23 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.04% or 0.03 to hit $72.03 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.80% or 24.39 to trade at $3,019.41 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.61% to 10.42, while USD/MAD fell 0.53% to 9.60.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.31% at 103.82.
