Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecoms , Banking and Wholesale & Retail Trade sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 7.81% to hit a new 3-months low.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Tekfen Holding AS (IS: TKFEN ), which rose 9.67% or 11.40 points to trade at 129.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Turk Traktor ve Ziraat Makineleri AS (IS: TTRAK ) added 0.24% or 2.00 points to end at 827.00 and Pasifik Eurasia Lojistik Dis Ticaret AS (IS: PASEU ) was up 0.10% or 0.04 points to 38.48 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Anadolu Efes Biracilik ve Malt Sanayi AS (IS: AEFES ), which fell 10.00% or 17.30 points to trade at 155.70 at the close. Cimsa Cimento Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS: CIMSA ) declined 10.00% or 5.24 points to end at 47.16 and Coca-Cola Icecek AS (IS: CCOLA ) was down 10.00% or 5.60 points to 50.40.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 563 to 25 and 3 ended unchanged.
Shares in Tekfen Holding AS (IS: TKFEN ) rose to all time highs; rising 9.67% or 11.40 to 129.30.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.92% or 27.90 to $3,015.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 0.01% or 0.01 to hit $68.08 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 0.15% or 0.11 to trade at $71.89 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 1.08% to 37.86, while EUR/TRY rose 1.20% to 41.13.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 103.65.
