Norway stocks lower at close of trade; Oslo OBX down 1.46%

Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Media , Transport and Diversified Financials sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 1.46%.

The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL: GOGL ), which rose 2.32% or 1.98 points to trade at 87.48 at the close. Meanwhile, Telenor ASA (OL: TEL ) added 0.67% or 1.00 points to end at 150.40 and Storebrand ASA (OL: STB ) was up 0.37% or 0.50 points to 134.80 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Mowi ASA (OL: MOWI ), which fell 5.71% or 11.70 points to trade at 193.10 at the close. SalMar ASA (OL: SALM ) declined 5.54% or 29.00 points to end at 494.00 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL: NAS ) was down 4.07% or 0.51 points to 11.91.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 176 to 100 and 22 ended unchanged.

Shares in Telenor ASA (OL: TEL ) rose to 3-years highs; up 0.67% or 1.00 to 150.40. Shares in SalMar ASA (OL: SALM ) fell to 52-week lows; falling 5.54% or 29.00 to 494.00.

Crude oil for May delivery was down 1.04% or 0.73 to $69.19 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 1.04% or 0.76 to hit $72.58 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.87% or 26.86 to trade at $3,117.76 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was up 0.11% to 11.33, while USD/NOK fell 0.12% to 10.46.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.28% at 103.70.
