Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 1.51%

– Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Consumer Goods , Chemicals and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 1.51%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Zealand Pharma A/S (CSE: ZELA ), which rose 5.34% or 36.00 points to trade at 710.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE: VWS ) added 2.39% or 2.40 points to end at 101.00 and DSV Panalpina A/S (CSE: DSV ) was up 1.94% or 29.00 points to 1,524.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Demant A/S (CSE: DEMANT ), which fell 1.96% or 5.20 points to trade at 259.60 at the close. Coloplast A/S (CSE: COLOb ) declined 1.37% or 12.20 points to end at 881.00 and ISS A/S (CSE: ISS ) was down 1.09% or 1.40 points to 127.30.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 72 to 55 and 23 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.10% or 0.07 to $69.31 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $73.31 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.84% or 22.00 to trade at $2,653.00 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.81% to 7.10, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.00% to 7.46.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.64% at 106.82.
